Allowing Credit Card Payments in Standard Collection

To setup the system to accept credit card payments follow these steps:

1. Login to KVS Standard
2. Choose Collections > 400 System Setup > 402 General Setup > 005 Online Collections Options
3. Change the Accept Payment by Credit Card flag to a “Y”
4. Enter through the remaining Prompts
5. Answer Y to Everything OK
6. Choose Collections > 400 System Setup > 402 General Setup > 010 Credit Cards
   1. Enter a Credit Card type If you want to break out by individual charge card types enter Visa, MC, Discover etc.  Otherwise enter CREDIT

Collecting a Charge Card Payment

(Charge card payments can only be collected in Online Collections)

To collect a payment, follow these steps:

1. In collections choose 001 online collections
2. Enter Trans Date, Pen Date and Batch as usual
3. Bring up bill to pay
4. After the line to pay is selected press the F5 key
5. The charge line then displays
   1. Enter the amount being paid cy a charge card
   2. Enter the Type – ex. CREDIT, VISA, MC

Complete the payment as usual
