When the system seems to have frozen during the manual check process, it means that another session of PR is open and has the files needed for updated locked open. To fix and continue on with the manual check, make sure you only have 1 session of KVS payroll open and have all other users close out of payroll. After the manual check is complete all other users can log back in.
